Elon Musk Releases Tesla Model Y Teaser Image
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently held a shareholders meeting. Sources close to the matter suggest that they discussed a wide range of issues and topics. Top among these was a discussion regarding the upcoming Model Y. If reports are believed to be true then it appears like Elon Musk has grabbed upon the opportunity to release the first teaser image for the upcoming electric crossover. A new rumor suggests that the game is going to be rolled out between 2019 and 2020.
According to a report published by Tech Times, Tesla has already begun preparing for its next big step regarding the upcoming electric car - mass production procedure of Model 3 electric sedan that is specially catered to the mass market. Moreover, the firm is also planning on launching new electric vehicle models in the next couple of years or so. Additionally, the firm is also expected to take the wraps off its speculated revamped Roadster alongside another electric pick-up truck (whose name hasn't been revealed as of yet). The company is also heavily rumored to be working on a new electric crossover that goes by the name of Model Y and a larger electric SUV called Model X.
According to several online reports, the teaser image unveiled by Elon Musk doesn't give away too many details regarding the device. At first glance, one can guess that the car comes featuring side-view mirrors, showcasing Tesla' attempt at replacing unnecessary components with cameras. The car also looks much sleeker when compared with the fan-made concept illustrations that were taking the rounds on the internet. As can be recalled, Musk first teased the Model Y back in October of 2015. It's been a long time since the latest update, however; no details on when the automobile will be launched have been revealed as yet.
