BIGBANG's T.O.P. Marijuana Use Investigation Continues; Involved Female Acquaintance Identified
BIGBANG T.O.P. gets entangled with a scandal when he was accused of using marijuana. The Korean pop idol has then been under investigation. It has been recently revealed that he wasn’t the only one involved.
New reports have released that T.O.P. and a female acquaintance were accused of using marijuana, which is strictly forbidden in South Korea. The two have admitted to the allegations and police have charged them for illegally smoking marijuana on three different occurrences dating back to October 2017. The identity of the female acquaintance has been revealed to be a trainee named Han Seo Hee.
The female trainee involved with T.O.P. was well known for her participation in MBC’s popular program, “The Birth of a Great Star”, which is somewhat similar to how “X Factor” works. According to Allkpop, Han Seo Hee was hugely popular despite just being a trainee that she even has her own fan base. The 22-year old trainee had been hoping to debut when she signed up for her agency in June 2015 but canceled her contract because of personal issues even though she had several offers.
T.O.P’s case is currently still being investigated and reports have emerged that the idol has been seen at the Seoul police station in the afternoon of June 2. He was reportedly summoned for questioning in the late afternoon. Surprisingly, another member from BIGBANG who was on his vacation also showed up.
Though he has yet to press release on this matter, the ongoing marijuana case involving T.O.P. has already started to take a toll on his career. MBC has finally decided to cut off T.O.P. from the upcoming episode of “I Live Alone” by editing him out. The staff for the said program revealed that the idol was supposed to appear in a photo in the next episode but they deemed it proper to edit him out instead. The ongoing marijuana case will also affect T.O.P’s military enlistment.
