"Dark Souls 3" brings some good news to the gaming. A new action RPG is coming with a "Dark Souls"-like experience from Deck 13 Interactive.

"The Surge" Delivers A "Dark Souls"-Like Game Experience

Deck 13 Interactive, the developers of the popular action role-playing game "Lord of the Fallen," announced its newest game "The Surge." According to reports, it is similar to "Dark Souls 3" in terms of gameplay, specifically with its combat system.

"Dark Souls" is said to be the chief model of the newly announced RPG, although some reports suggest that the combat system is mostly influenced by "Bloodborne." Although both games are created by FromSoftware, the combat systems of the two games are quite different from one another.

To begin with, "Dark Souls'" combat system is manageable and slower paced, compared to "Bloodborne's" that is much similar to that of Team Ninja's RPG "Nioh," which has a faster and more aggressive combat system. In terms of build styles and melee builds, there are also differences noted between the games.

Meantime, "The Surge" has been designed in a more interesting role-playing game style of "Dark Souls" game series. The gameplay has evolved into something different, which makes it even more brutal and challenging as it involves the use of some kind of exoskeleton to fight its enemies, Technology reported.

"Dark Souls 3" Patch Aims At Multiple Weapon Buffs

"Dark Souls 3" patch 1.14 buffs several weapons, either by reducing the stats needed to use them or by making them become more powerful. For instance, the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords now uses less stamina and gives greater attack power although it also has reduced rotation capabilities. In addition, the Call to Stone skill connected to Ledo's Great Hammer has also become more powerful while the motion cancel speed has been increased as well, PC Gamer reported.
