‘Running Man’ Castmates Haha, Kim Jong Kook Embarks On New Venture

Two cast members from the SBS long-running variety program "Running Man" are set to establish a new joint business venture. South Korean rapper Haha and Turbo alum Kim Jong Kook will soon open a new restaurant together.

Kim Jong Kook and Haha are known to be close friends in the South Korean entertainment industry given their long history together. The two musicians have been working alongside each other for more than six years as cast members on the SBS show "Running Man." Earlier episodes of the said variety program even featured scenes where the rapper would refer to the Turbo singer as his older brother.

Recently, it was revealed that the two "Running Man" castmates are set to embark on a new business opportunity. Haha and Kim Jong Kook has partnered together to open a pork belly restaurant in South Korea. A representative for the two musicians shared that it was a business venture that both wanted to start for a quite a while now given their close friendship, All Kpop quoted the said source as saying.

Haha and Kim Jong Kook will become equal partners in the said business. Other details of the two "Running Man" cast members' soon-to-open pork belly restaurant were not disclosed.

However, it was revealed that both musicians are set to launch a special event for their new business. Customers who will dine in the said restaurant during its grand opening can expect to see "Running Man" cast members' Haha and Kim Jong Kook personally grilling the meat orders for lucky diners.

In other news, "Running Man" underwent a review from the Korean Communications Standards Commission given an inappropriate scene that was featured in one of the show's previous episodes. Aired in early April, Haha and guest star Choi Min Yong, who is also one of the rapper's close friends, were playing a pain endurance game together when Haha grabbed the actor's sensitive body part between the legs, Soompi reported. News of the said committee's review results has yet to be revealed.
