No Bad Blood Between Yang Hyun Suk, Nam Tae Hyun As YG Boss Endorses Former WINNER Vocalist's New Single 'Hug Me'

Former WINNER main vocalist Nam Tae Hyun has dropped his first single with his new band South Club entitled "Hug Me" and even YG Entertainment boss Yang Hyun Suk is giving it his seal of approval. This comes as a welcome development to fans who were worried that there were some negative feelings from Nam Tae Hyun's earlier departure from YG Entertainment.

In an Instagram post, Yang Hyun Suk posted a screen shot of a stream of Nam Tae Hyun's Hug Me, which was released May 26. The producer further used the hasthtags #NamTaeHyun #southclub #HUGME #NEWSINGLE #OUTNOW and #checkthisout as a show of support for the singer's new endeavor.

It can be recalled that Nam Tae Hyun and YG Entertainment reached a mutual agreement last year for the former WINNER member to depart from the label because he was suffering from mental health issues due to stress. Due to this, WINNER's comeback album FATE Number For featuring the songs "Really Really" and "Fool" were released by WINNER as a quartet. The comeback was well received by INNER CIRCLE, WINNER's official fandom as the songs performed well on local and international charts.

In a recent interview with Dingo Radio, Nam Tae Hyun said that it was not easy to part with the group when he made the decision last year. He also refused to elaborate on speculations about his departure from his former label.

"I left after making a good compromise," Nam Tae Hyun said, recalling his decision. "We just had different paths to walk."

It seems that with Yang Hyun Suk's recent action, there was no bad blood between the label and his former artist. His positive endorsement of Nam Tae Hyun's new music also shows his support for the former WINNER member's new endeavor.

"Hug Me" is the first single of Nam Tae Hyun with his new band South Club. He is releasing the music under his own label South Buyers Club which he started several months ago.
