Billboard Music Awards Staff Blown Away By BTS Fans

Wherever BTS is, ARMYs are sure to follow. And because BTS is at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, fans have flocked and camped out at the event. Surely, anyone who knows BTS would expect an ARMY of fans trailing behind them, right? It seems like the staff of Billboard Music Awards doesn't quite see that frequently.

On May 22, the staff at the Billboard Music Awards was impressed at the huge amount of support and love displayed by BTS fans who stayed and camped out of the venue. The staff was notably amazed at how organized the fans are in grouping together and doing chants! They were so astonished at the orderly coordination of the cheering ARMYs that they recorded a video and uploaded it on Twitter.

A BTS fan tweeted, "BTS staff came to record us!! Hope they see my fansign!!" Other staff at the event posted videos with screaming ARMYs behind them, cheering and chanting hours before the show even started. Many of the fans brought huge banners and placards to display their love for the boys.

Speaking of fans' love, BTS broke the world record for getting the most votes in a fan-voted award at the Billboard Music Awards. The group raked in a whopping 300,000,000 votes in total from fans all over the globe. The official BBMAs Twitter updated, "BTS have become the first act to surpass 300,000,000 votes in a fan-voted award at the #BBMAs"

BTS went against other nominees like Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Shawn Mendes. It's safe to say that as early as now, BTS has already won the award. The group is expected to go up on stage and make a winning speech once they claim the Billboard Top Social Artist award - a first in K-pop history. Congratulations to the boys of BTS for breaking yet another world record!
