'Pokemon GO' News & Updates: Rock Event Just Hours Away; Here's What To Expect
After the Worldwide Bloom event, "Pokemon GO" players will have another reason to play the game full throttle as Niantic recently announced their brand new event dubbed Adventure Week. The week-long affair is said to focus on rock type Pokemon as their spawn rate will be upped than the usual.
The inbound event will officially go live on the 18th at 1 P.M. pacific time (PT) up until the 25th same time, according to IGN. From there the aforementioned rock type monsters will be popping up more often during the game event's week-long run. The rare Aerodactyl was even featured in the promotional photo for the said "Pokemon GO" event that seems to hint that Niantic has something cooked up for the critter.
"Pokemon GO" players believe that the game maker might roll out a shiny variant of the Aerodactyl just like what Niantic did to Gyarados and Magikarp during the water event. However, such speculation should be taken with a grain of salt.
Other goodies that are slated to arrive in "Pokemon GO's" upcoming rock event include Poke Balls being sold in shops at half the price. However, it is likely that these Poke Balls might be spotted along the way just like any other items within the AR title.
Some nifty stuff is also expected to be spotted at PokeStops that might include evolution items and the likes. Some players are also keeping their fingers crossed that the new "Pokemon GO" event would include an increased lure time just what like Niantic did on previous events.
Furthermore, the upcoming "Pokemon GO" event will also dish out a free avatar accessory in the form of an Explorer's Hat alongside another add-on that will enable buddy Pokemon to rake in candies four times the normal rate, Comicbook reported. Check out a video about this new event here:
