‘Bride Of The Water God’ Latest Photos Tease Nam Joo Hyuk, f(x)’s Krystal, Shin Se Kyung’s Chemistry On Set

Filming activities are currently ongoing for the upcoming tvN fantasy series "Bride of the Water God" that will feature a modern take on the Korean comic series of the same name. Recently, photos from the said production's set showcased the chemistry between co-stars Nam Joo Hyuk, f(x)'s Krystal and Shin Se Kyung.

"Bride of the Water God" will mark tvN's latest attempt to introduce a fantasy romantic comedy series in its line-up of upcoming drama productions. Following the growing trend of pre-produced dramas in South Korea, all the episodes of Nam Joo Hyuk, f(x)'s Krystal, Shin Se Kyung's series will also be pre-filmed. Production activities already started on March 22 but it was only recently that photo stills from the drama were released.

Fan taken photos posted on Koreaboo showed Nam Joo Hyuk filming several "Bride of the Water God" scenes in public. In some of the images, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" actor sported various fashionable outfits such as light gray coat and pants combo with a white undershirt.

Some of the pictures also showed the actor's chemistry with his some of his female "Bride of the Water God" co-stars. One of the images featured Nam Joo Hyuk filming what appears to be a tense discussion with f(x)'s Krystal, while another photo showed the actor shooting a street conversation with Shin Se Kyung as the two walked along a busy market.

Meanwhile, the upcoming "Bride of the Water God" drama will depict a modern-day story about a reincarnated water deity and a young woman slated to become a bridal sacrifice to the said god. Nam Joo Hyuk will portray the role of Ha Baek who is a reincarnation of the Water God. Shin Se Kyung will play the debt-ridden neuropsychiatrist So Ah who is destined to cross paths with the said deity, while f(x)'s Krystal will portray the goddess Hye Ra who lived among the humans and became an actress.

In other news, tvN recently confirmed the target release date for "Bride of the Water God." In an announcement, as obtained by Korea Herald, the said South Korean cable network stated that Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung's upcoming drama is expected to premiere sometime in July.

"Bride of the Water God" will replace the soon-to-be-released sci-fi drama "Circle" when it finishes its 12-episode run. New episodes of Nam Joo Hyuk's upcoming series will then be aired every Monday and Tuesday on tvN.
