The description of the season finale teases the arrival of the apocalypse. According to the press release for "The 100" Season 4 finale (Episode 13), the Praimfaya is here and the heroes must do everything to protect their loved ones and themselves.
In an attempt to survive, Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos), Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick), Monty Green (Christopher Larkin), Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan), Finn Collins (Thomas McDonell), John Murphy (Richard Harmon), and Wells Jaha (Eli Goree) race against the time to prevent destruction and save themselves from the radiation. .

According to the TV Guide, "The 100" Season 4 finale is expected to tie some loose ends and answer some burning questions related to the Flame, the Second Dawn and the Nightblood.
"There's a pretty powerful artificial intelligence in [the Flame] that might be helpful, and there are Nightbloods among us now," showrunner Jason Rothenberg told the abovementioned publication.
As for Clarke's storyline, it is expected to be very different in "The 100" Season 4 finale.
"She's definitely being forced to rely on her friends more than she has in the past and accept that she can't do it all on her own. I won't say whether there's a level pulled or a button pushed -- there probably is in various ways -- but it's not quite as 'it all comes down to pulling a lever' as it has in the past," Rothenberg said.
