"Arrow" Season 5 finale airs this week. The show wraps up with Episode 23 titled "Lian Yu" which showcases the ultimate showdown between Oliver Queen, Team Arrow, and the villain Prometheus/Adrian Chase.

"Arrow" Season 5 finale features an ultimate team-up between Death Stoke, Nyssa Al Ghul, Merlyn, Digger Harkness and Team Arrow to defeat Chase. According to the description of Episode 23 "Lian Yu," Oliver and Chase fight an epic battle on Lian Yu. Oliver enlists help of unlikely allies that includes Slade, Nyssa, Merlyn and others.
Meanwhile, Chase builds his own team as he prepares to go against Team Arrow. The big bad has Black Siren, Evelyn Sharp, and Talia Al Ghul on his side. The official synopsis for "Arrow" Season 5 finale (Episode 23) promises and explosive battle.

In the meantime, viewers can expect to see some major characters bite the dust by the end of "Arrow" Season 5 finale. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Wendy Mericle teased death of "some people" in the finale. Moviepilot is speculating that one of the characters dying in the finale is Roy Harper, also known as Arsenal.
In addition, the co-creator revealed that Chase continues to be ahead of Oliver in the finale and how the battle ends.
"Adrian is going to continue to be several steps ahead of Oliver, but I think Oliver has got his number. So the finale will be full of some pretty big surprises. I think Oliver's finally going to find a way to do what he's been trying to do all season and put the past behind him," Mericle said. Also, "Arrow" Season 5 finale is expected to end up with a big cliffhanger that sets up Season 6.
