HTC U11 Release Date & Update: New Details Leaked A Day Before Announcement Event

The HTC U11 will be announced tomorrow and like the other smartphone and other tech devices, most of the details of the HTC U11 have leaked out ahead of time. This time, a hands-on video that shows off the new device in multiple color options has leaked out.

Also, the squeezable frame feature of the upcoming HTC U11, which has been in speculations, gets a new update. According to the new report, this tech will not feature the touch sensor, which previously rumored in the device.

The HTC U11 frame is previously alleged will come with both squeeze and touch sensitive technology, in which users can control the device by just tapping and squeezing the frame. However, it seems that only the squeeze sensor will come along this new handset and there is no such touch sensitive frame.

Before the announcement day, a new hands-on video of the HTC U11 device surfaced online showing the alleged official device. This video shows that the phone will be available in multiple color options, it also shows the most awaited Edge Sense feature where the user squeezes the sides of the phone to launch the camera app and then take a photo.

There are a lot of features of the device shows in the clip, like the Google Assistant and a USB Type-C port, unfortunately, no 3.5mm headphone jack seen on the device. The most rumored specs of the HTC U11 are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor chips, Android 7.1 on a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 Super LCD 5 display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 3000mAh battery.

A 12-megapixel UltraPixel 3 rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera might also include on the HTC U11. Almost of this information is rumored and unofficial, but the official announcement of this device will be held on May 16, 2017.
