Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Android 7.0 Nougat is coming to the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 in US and Galaxy S7 Edge in the UK. The OS update came following the global launch of Galaxy S8 and prior to the upcoming launch of the next Android version.

Android 7.0 Nougat Bump Requires Large Space

With the upcoming release of Android 7.0 Nougat to the Samsung devices, the fans are now excited to finally get a chance to experience the Nougat performance prior to the official launch of another highly awaited OS - the Android 8.0. Given that the update weighs at around 1.2GB and will also be available OTA, the update file is somewhat large, which means it is necessary for the device that will be bumped to have enough space available.

Moreover, prior to the installation of the Android 7.0 Nougat update, the users must charge up their handsets first through a stable WiFi connection for a smooth experience. Meantime, the Android Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is now live, which means the users that are yet to see the prompt can now begin the process manually by going to the Settings and About of the device in order to get the update, Phone Arena reported.

LG Stylo 2V Gets Android 7.0 Nougat Update

The LG Stylo 2V is set to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update soon at Verizon. While the handset has only been released in October with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board, reports suggest that the phone manufacturer opted to upgrade to Nougat. Although Verizon has not confirmed the report yet, a source code for the Android 7.0 Nougat update has been uploaded on the LG Open Source website already.

Meantime, the LG Stylo 2V has been given a few updates before. However, the majority of these have included security patches that looked into different vulnerabilities and exploits. Incidentally, rumors claim that Verizon is currently testing the update given by LG and will likely begin seeding it soon, Phone Arena reported.
