Girls Generation's Seohyun has been the recipient of several negative feedbacks from critics who questioned her acting abilities. Recently, the Kpop idol shared her thoughts about the criticisms that claimed she does not deserve to play the lead role in the new drama "Bad Thief, Good Thief."

Over the years, South Korea has seen a plethora of Kpop idols who branched out into acting to further expand their careers in the entertainment industry. Girls Generation's Seohyun is one the said celebrities whose upcoming MBC drama "Bad Thief, Good Thief" will mark her first lead role in a series. However, the singer turned actress received criticisms from haters who questioned her acting talent.

In the press conference for "Bad Thief, Good Thief," Girls Generation's Seohyun addressed the negative feedback that she received from critics. Held on May 12, Friday, the Kpop star commented that she understood the concerns that naysayers highlighted.

Given the low number of acting projects in the singer's portfolio, it is understandable that many will question her ability to effectively portray the lead role Kang So Ju in "Bad Thief, Good Thief," Soompi quoted the Kpop idol as saying. Despite the disparaging comments, Girls Generation's Seohyun mentioned that she will take advantage of the criticisms to better her craft and showcase her acting skills in the said MBC drama.

Girls Generation's Seohyun stated, "I believe I will just have to show my sincerity as an actress as I become Kang So Ju [in 'Bad Thief, Good Thief]. I feel more responsible because of it. I will work hard ... so please watch us with love."

Meanwhile, the "Bad Thief, Good Thief" star also revealed that she and her fellow bandmates Sooyoung and YoonA never participated in an internal TV rating competition for their dramas. Girls Generation's Seohyun explained that they do not discuss viewership shares but would convey their support for each other's projects, All Kpop reported.

"Bad Thief, Good Thief" will premiere on May 13 on MBC. New episodes will be released every Saturday and Sunday.
