The 4th Gaon Chart K-POP Awards

The BTS members are getting a lot of support from fellow Korean and Kpop superstar PSY, who remains optimistic about the groups' future in the industry. Music group rivalry is pretty much common within the entertainment industry.

After all, every artist or group hopes to nab the top spot so pointing out a rival's weaknesses during live interviews isn't an unusual practice. This isn't the case with PSY however, since the Korean icon has tremendous support for his fellow Kpop group BTS.

According to DigitalMusicNews, PSY shared that he is so proud of the uprising Korean group and that the BTS members deserved the attention because they've worked really hard for it. "They worked really hard to the point where it felt like their bones will break off from dancing." PSY added.

While PSY acknowledged that all new artists should naturally work really hard, the BTS members put in the effort that made him believe they're "worthy of close attention."

PSY couldn't help but compare the similarities between him and BTS when it comes to becoming recognized on an international scale. The Kpop sensation explained that "people who did not intend to do so bring unexpected results", referencing his case to stardom as being "unique" in the same way BTS case is as well.

Of course, this would lead Kpop fans to ask what's next for BTS and where does this stardom lead the booming Korean group. In that case, PSY's advice is simple, he urged BTS members to not feel pressured since they have already achieved "great results" like worldwide recognition, something that the Kpop icon finds as "truly amazing."

As for PSY himself, he's gearing up to make his very own comeback starting with his latest eight album "4X2=8." According to Soompi, the kpop star's latest album features collaborations with other Korean artists such as Lee Sung Kyung, iKON's Bobby and B and BIGBANG's Taeyang. Given how fast Kpop is growing recently, it won't be long before PSY or other iconic Kpop artists begin collaborating with the BTS members as well.
