‘Running Man’ Star Yoo Jae Suk Wins May Brand Reputation Race Among Comedians

TV personality and host Yoo Jae Suk continues to be one of South Korea's popular celebrities. Recently, the "Running Man" star nabbed the top spot on a brand reputation chart for comedians.

Yoo Jae Suk was identified as the comedian with the best brand reputation for the month of May. For the period April 3 until May 4, the "Running Man" cast member nabbed the first place with brand reputation scores of 4,408,770, according to data from the Korea Business Research Institute, as cited by Korea Herald.

Known for his hosting roles and participation in shows such as "Infinity Challenge," "Happy Together" and more, Yoo Jae Suk bested 50 comedians on the said organization's list. The "Running Man" star surpassed Park Myung Soo who scored 3,419,285 points and Kim Gura who recorded brand reputation index levels of 2,802,769 points. The two celebrities nabbed the second and third spots on the said list, respectively.

Apart from Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo and Kim Gura, other celebrities who made it to the May brand reputation chart included Kim Young Chul at fourth place and "Immortal Songs" host Shin Dong Yup at fifth place. Yang Se Hyung came in at number six followed by the "Sister's Slam Dunk" Season 2 star Park Na Rae, as well as Shim Jin Hwa, Lee Kyung Kyu and "2 Days 1 Night" cast member Kim Joon Ho.

Meanwhile, the Korea Business Research Institute head Koo Chang Hwan recently gushed over Yoo Jae Suk and how the said celebrity was able to successfully grow his brand. The said executive added that the "Running Man" star even contributed to brand value of his other colleagues, Korea Herald quoted Koo Chang Hwan as saying.

In other news, Yoo Jae Suk may soon make a special comeback in the variety comedy program "Gag Concert." The TV personality is said to be in discussions to appear in the upcoming 900th episode of the KBS show, All Kpop reported. Viewers last saw the "Running Man" star in a 2009 "Gag Concert" episode where he appeared alongside Jung Hyun Don.

The upcoming 900th episode of Gag Concert will be released on May 28 on KBS. Meanwhile, "Running Man" airs every Sunday on SBS.
