OnePlus 5 Specs, Release Date, Price Bared By Online Vendor; CEO Hints Of Looming Event
With the recent success of OnePlus' premium handset dubbed OnePlus 3 that went out in June 2016, the Chinese phone maker never settled on such acclaim as they are about to launch 3's successor - the OnePlus 5. News are coming in hot as an online phone seller posted the upcoming phone's specs, release date and on how much will it be.
Online store Oppomart has just posted a listing of the OnePlus 5 including both of its internal and external specs. If the mentioned listing is anything to go by, the much-awaited handset is said to be preloaded with an Oxygen operating system that is based on Google's Android Nougat OS.
Moreover, it suggests that the OnePlus 5 will have a couple of iterations with varying storage capacity from which the base version will have 64GB while the beefed up variant will don a 128GB of storage space and both renders will be getting 6GB of RAM. The new phone will likely to be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 835 SoC from Qualcomm clocked at 2.45 GHz.
External features include 5.5-inch quad high-definition display sporting a 2560x1440 resolution. However, it is still uncertain whether the display will be reinforced by Corning's tough Gorilla glass. Contrary to previous reports, the OnePlus 5 will be getting a 12 and 8MP back and front shooter though the add-ons that go along with it were not mentioned. Lastly, it fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the front of the upcoming device.
The OnePlus 5 is deemed out of stock as of late on the website. However, it has a highlighted statement suggesting that the phone will hit the shelves in June and will have a price tag amounting to $449.
OnePlus CEO Peter Lau, on the other hand, may well seem to have confirmed the arrival of the OnePlus 5 as the company's top hat posted on his Chinese social media account a teaser of the company's inbound event. Albeit the phone's name was not mentioned, fans believe that it will be the aforementioned banner handset as the image shows the company's logo, Pocket-lint reported.
