Apple iPad Pro 2 Rumors: Release Date, Specs, & 3 Sizes
Apple is expected to launch the rumored Apple iPad Pro 2 in three variants during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event 2017 in June.
WWDC will be held from June 5 to 9 in San Jose, California. Apple fans are eagerly waiting for the successor of iPad Pro. Although the upcoming iPad Pro 2 was expected to be launched in the last quarter 2016, several reports claimed that the powerful iOS tablet will be announced in March 2017. Hence the iPad Pro 2 is expected to unveil in June to house the new iOS.
Apple iPad Pro 2 may have a major design overhaul surrounding the removal of the home button which would pave the way for a Touch ID sensor below the display. It is also expected that it will have upgraded camera, featuring 12MP with True Tone Flash feature.
Moreover, iPad Pro 2 will be available in three different sizes. There will be iPad Pro 2 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch, and the iPad Pro 2 12.9-inch models. Prices for each version vary: 9.7-inch model is $600, 10.5-inch variant is $700, and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 version costs $800.
The iPad Pro 2 is likely to be powered by a newer and faster A10X processor as well as iOS 11 Operating System. There is also a speculation that the new iPad will offer three or four internal storage and the lowest possible will probably 512GB. In addition, Apple's upcoming tablet will not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. Ditching the headphone jack will help iPad Pro 2 to be thinner.
Apple iPad Pro 2’s 12.9-inch version is said to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The Cupertino-based tech giant titan is also expected to incorporate water resistant technology to the next-gen iPad. Additionally, it will also boast a Touch Bar feature that is currently present in Apple's MacBook and will be compatible with second-gen Apple Pencil.
