On May 1, "Lucifer" Season 2, Episode 14 explores the return of the Devil to help solve a murder case of a guitarist. Chloe notices that Lucifer is with a mystery woman named Candy who is a ditzy stripper.

However, it is not going to be an easy road ahead for Lucifer as he has to prove himself before he is invited back onto the team. The episode also sees Lucifer's mother trying to contact her son but Chloe pushes him away.

Kevin Alejandro, who plays Detective Dan Espinoza, spoke with Syfy Wire about his character and what happens in the rest of "Lucifer" Season 2. "They are trying to peppermint a bunch of little tiny hints and storylines for each one of us so that when we come back in Season 3 you'll have some great expectations, so to speak. Dan has taken a little bit of a journey standing up for himself and not being such a floor mat to Lucifer's insults, and he learns to stand up for himself a little bit," Alejandro said.

He also teased that fans can expect "funny banter" between Dan and Lucifer. The actor added their relationship is likely to evolve in a humorous way.
