BIGBANG Gets Candid in New Series on Youtube Red

BIGBANG recently launched a new original series on Youtube Red called 'Run, BIGBANG Scout'. The series is a comedy reality show where the K-pop icons visit a camping ground and talk about a variety of things such as the group's recent activities, as well play different games.

Fans and viewers will see candid moments, behind-the-scenes footages, as well as glimpses into the personal lives of the BIGBANG members. In the show, we will see the boys do groceries, cook, and prepare for their daily schedules. In the first episode, member Seungri is even seeing getting made fun of by the boys for his hairy legs and for sporting 'grandmother socks'.

The show will feature BIGBANG members giving appreciation to their fans, families, and staff that have helped them become the K-pop legends they are today. 'Run, BIGBANG Scout' will also be a sort of last hurrah before member T.O.P. formally leaves for his mandatory military service.

The series will have 6 episodes that will be available exclusively on Google's Youtube Red subscription service, with the first 2 episodes already available. 'Run, BIGBANG Scout' debuted on April 26 and is the first original series in Korean language on the platform.

Alex Carloss, director of Youtube Originals says, "We are thrilled to launch YouTube Red's first Korean-language original series with BIGBANG, one of the music's biggest bands for the last decade."

Youtube expects BIGBANG's large fan base to support and watch the group's online show. As of today, BIGBANG's official Youtube channel has over 7.2 million subscribers and has garnered over 3.5 billion views. The giant video service is counting on their huge following to boost Youtube Red's number of subscriptions. Subscription for Youtube Red costs 7900 won in South Korea and provides ad-free content such as movies, series, and videos. The show is produced by YG Entertainment, the entertainment agency and music label that formed BIGBANG. The company, in collaboration with Youtube, created the series to mark BIGBANG's 10th anniversary.
