Ross Butler Drops Out Of ‘Riverdale’ For '13 Reasons Why’ Season 2

The news of "13 Reasons Why" Season 2 is buzzing the web after Ross Butler left "Riverdale." This is what people pointed to be the biggest clue for the comeback of the controversial show. In essence, Zack Dempsey will be back soon after being Reggie Mantle.

According to Seventeen, "Riverdale" Reggie Mantle is someone you should hate but can't help to fall in love with. That's actually what Ross Butler brought as the resident airhead jock character of the show. Now, everyone will soon lose their favorite antagonist because of "13 Reasons Why" Season 2.

Reggie Mantle just got recast for "Riverdale" season 2 but it will not anymore be Ross Butler. The guy supposedly backed out due to conflicting commitment schedules. Although the CW show's official still wants him as Reggie, they are looking for someone who will spend lots of time with them. 

Being Zack Dempsey, Ross Butler is the key character on "13 Reasons Why." Hence, the actor will really need time if it will proceed to film anytime soon. There is still no confirmation yet to what will really happen next with the controversial show. But, it's major success is something Netflix can't ignore.

"13 Reasons Why" is adapted from the novel of Jay Asher. It's about Hanna Baker's suicide which she explained on series of cassettes tapes. These are what Clay and the others used to understand why the girl took her own life. Its theme borders on sexual assault and school bullying.

Because of Zack, Clay, Hannah and the others, "13 Reasons Why" clicked to its fans. To take note, Netflix' show won't be the same as it is without Ross Butler. No one can continue the intensity of the characters emotions than them. This is what everybody loved about the TV series.
