'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Updates: 2018 Release Schedule Possible?
Square Enix recently revealed the list of schedule for their games' release dates. Unfortunately, "Final Fantasy" fans may have to wait a little longer for the launching of "Final Fantasy 7" Remake since it was listed under the 2018 and beyond release schedule. Though 2018 may be a possible release date, the game is still far from completion by this time.
"Final Fantasy 7" Remake was originally slated for a 2017 release. By the time the schedule is nearing, its production team stopped expressing that it will be released this year, Express reported. The game's launching was first announced in 2015, since then, there had only been a few information about its progress.
In an interview with Famitsu last January, "Final Fantasy 7" Director Tetsuya Nomura said they will try to release new information about the game and "Kingdom Hearts 3" as well. Nomura said there will be several game events happening this year, and they will take the opportunity to talk about the developments in case there would be any, Gaming Bolt reported.
The game director said there is E3 in June, Tokyo Game Show in September and Jump Festa happening in December which they could use to announce additional information. He also apologized for not being able to give updates regarding "Final Fantasy 7" remake and "Kingdom Hearts 3." But he assured that in case any of the events happening this year matches with any progress they have, they will soon update fans.
Ultimately, the director apologized for the long time fans have to wait before getting their hands on the remake of "Final Fantasy 7." In the end, Nomura said there are a lot of games releasing this year and there is a surprise waiting for fans once these FF7 Remake and KH3 releases.
