Xiaomi Mi 6 Release Date, News & Update

Xiaomi Mi 6 was unveiled just recently during an event held in Beijing, skipping the Mobile World Congress, which is the biggest annual event in the telecom industry. Given the fact that the company has moved into a transitional period after its fast growth, there is a ton of hype and expectation that came with the device.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Has Similarities With iPhone 7

Reports suggest that some Xiaomi Mi 6 features are similar from those of the iPhone 7, and one of these is the 12MP dual rear camera that combines a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi 6 phone will also have a bokeh-style photography feature that comes with 2x lossless zoom, 10x digital zoom and an optical image stabilization technology.

Xiaomi Mi 6, meantime, removes the headphone jack but includes an under-glass fingerprint sensor on the front. According to reports, the company shipped the same sensor in the previous Mi 5S Plus in September. Incidentally, leaks claim that Apple is also getting the same for the next iPhone.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to go on sale in China on April 28 from Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. Although no specific dates were given, the company revealed that global expansion is coming later to selected markets, TechCrunch reported.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Comes With Impressive Specifications

Under the hood, Xiaomi Mi 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor that is based on a 10nm architecture, paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, the smartphone is packed with a 3350mAh battery that is expected to last a day on a single charge. It also includes a USB Type-C port as well as Quick Charge 4.0, Indian Express reported. Watch Xiaomi Mi6 Hands On and Camera Review here:
