It seems that the popularity of "Train to Busan" actor Gong Yoo is earning him the attention of even the international media. The actor who is coming off of the success of his drama "Goblin" will be featured in CNN's "Talk Asia."

According to Gong Yoo's handlers Management Soop, the actor filmed an interview for the CNN show last April 3. Gong Yoo was invited as a guest for the show because of the phenomenal success of "Goblin" which broke rating records for tvN at the time of its airing. During the show's peak, it surpassed the 20 percent mark in the national and Seoul Capital Area polls, Korea Herald reported.

Gong Yoo's appearance in the weekly interview show is a big deal since it airs on CNN International across countries within CNN's reach. While the show is produced by CNN's Asia-Pacific region headquarters in Hong Kong, they have chosen their roster of guests carefully, selecting to feature only top influencers in the field of arts, politics, sports and business. The interview also makes sure to focus their in-depth interviews on their guests to make sure that the audience gets to know their featured personality beyond what is already known about them.

As a matter of fact, international celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Lady Gaga, and Jason Mraz have become guests in the show. For Korean artists, K-pop idols BIG BANG and Gangnam Style singer PSY have been featured as guests in the show.

Meanwhile, Gong Yoo's fans are still waiting for concrete announcements from his management about his next project. Since the ending of "Goblin", the actor has been focused on fan meetings in different countries.

The actor has recently been caught in the middle of dating rumors with his "Goblin" co-star Kim Go Eun after the latter broke up with her boyfriend Shin Ha Kyun. The managements of both  Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun have since denied the rumors and maintained that busy schedules and not a third party were the cause of the breakup, Korea Portal reported.
