South Korea has been offering the foreigners as well as tourists a smart tour card which they can use to get more support from the Korean government. This became a part of the program of the country's tourism industry after suffering the aftermath of China's retaliation over the THAAD.

It can be recalled that Korea has been grappling these past months not only in its economy but also in its tourism after China shuts down some of the Korean companies that offer tour packages in the said country. This was part of the country's retaliation over the deployment of the U.S. missile defense system which South Korea supported.

The Korea Tour Card, which is a lot more beneficial to the foreigners, has been developed by the Korea Smart Card Corporation as well as the government as per The Jakarta Post. These cards were available since January this year and the country's tourism already felt the success it brought to the program. The sales of these cards went up to over 10,000 as of April which has been published by the Visit Korea Committee.

The revenues that Korea gained from the sale of these smart cards for the foreigners will be used for a program that will likewise give a wide range of tour programs for inbound visitors coming from different cultures. Because of this successful launch, the Korean government has no reason to stop the production of these cards.

Apart from the revenues the government collected from these smart cards, the data that came from these will also be utilized to develop and come up with new and innovative tour courses for tourists who come from different cultures like Muslims. This is really a good program of the Korean government and it will really boost the tourism industry of the said country.

This smart card works by charging it in some available vending machines found and situated inside the Seoul Metro. Apart from its above-mentioned benefits, foreigners will find it easy to use and because of the ease of use it brings to them, the tour will be more fun and interesting as per South China Morning Post.

As of now, the smart card offers discount privileges for culture and art venues which are then serviced only at two museums in the country. Due this limitation, the government is also planning to partner with other businesses most especially to those that cater to the culture and the arts to give the foreigners more options once they tour the country.
