‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spring Premiere Spoilers: New Promo Unveils Lucifer’s Plan, Meets ‘Dad’ In Unexpected Visit
When "Lucifer" Season 2 returns to the small screens, avid viewers will see a different Lucifer (Tom Ellis) who is adamant to return to his home in Heaven or Hell. Latest spoiler news teased of the fallen angel's plan to reunite with his father in Heaven but might leave his mother trapped on Earth.
The winter finale of "Lucifer" Season 2 featured the growing romance between Lucifer and Chloe (Lauren German), as well as the said fallen angel's discovery that his father, or God, orchestrated the police detective's arrival in his life. The revelation devastated Lucifer who immediately left his Los Angeles home, leaving Chloe confused and betrayed by his sudden disappearance.
In the upcoming spring premiere of "Lucifer" Season 2, the story will pick up two weeks after Lucifer cut off all communications with his family and friends including Chloe. The fallen angel's happy reunion with the police detective will be marred when he shows up with a mysterious stripper named Candy (Lindsey Gort), according to spoiler news posted on TVLine.
Lucifer's relationship with Chloe will also suffer a blow in "Lucifer" Season 2 given the said stripper's appearance, coupled with the fallen angel's unexplained absence. Given his disappearance, Chloe will try to push him away which will force Lucifer to again prove himself a worthy member of the police team.
Another scene featured in the new "Lucifer" Season 2 promo showed the surprise visit of Lucifer's father (Timothy Omundson). Shocked to see his omnipotent "dad" on Earth, Lucifer's father will also have a tense encounter with his wife Charlotte (Tricia Helfer).
Meanwhile, Lucifer appears to have come up with a plan for all of them, namely himself, Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), to go back to their heavenly or hellish homes. However, the said plan does not include Charlotte, as teased in the "Lucifer 2" clip.
In other news, four episodes from "Lucifer" Season 2 were added to the show's third season run. In a panel during Day 3 of the 2017 WonderCon, the Fox series' co-showrunner Joe Henderson gushed about the said episodes which he described as "different" and "super weird" standalone chapters about the show's various characters, Deadline quoted the executive producer as saying.
"Lucifer" Season 2 will air its spring premiere on May 1 on Fox. With only five episodes remaining in the show, the said fantasy police series is slated to release its season finale on May 29.
