Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Launch

Reports are escalating that Samsung and LG are going all out for a competition to promote their new flagship smartphones. This is also in a bid to dominate in their rivalry despite the motionless growth in the premium handset market.

Samsung just unveiled its Galaxy S8 last week Wednesday and with this, Korea's leading handset sellers and suppliers are working on more aggressive marketing and promotional strategies to gain and steal buyers from their competitors. Moreover, it has been reported too that this latest smartphone of the company is gaining a lot of attention in the U.S.

Samsung and LG have their respective reasons to get ahead in the smartphone business this year and in the tight competition. Foe Samsung Electronics, the first handsets launched after the recall of their Galaxy Note 7 last year are the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as per Korea Times.

Despite the recall of that device because of battery issues, Samsung still showed resilience by gaining profits in less than half a year after that incident. The company really was successful in surprising fans with devices that come with a lot of innovative features like the face recognition and the iris scanner.

Apart from this, Samsung also collaborated with Best Buy which is considered the largest electronics retailer in the U.S. in order to get and attract some of the limelight from the iPhones of Apple. As of now, their S8 is selling with several special promotions which include a free Gear VR headset and a $100 price reduction.

Meanwhile, LG is getting desperate to win the attention of the buyers for its G6. This is for the reason that the company has to attain a major rebound for its handset division this year. It has been claimed that the company is still struggling with the aftermath of the G4 and G5 failures as per Gizmodo.

And this month, LG is doing a special promotion by offering an LG Watch Sports for free for 1,000 G6 customers only. Just the previous month, the firm also held an activity to give away 55-inch organic OLED TVs to 70 G6 buyers.

Samsung and LG are indeed going all-out for their promotional activities and ideas as they also release their respective flagship smartphones. Moreover, they have to do this in order to cope with Apple's tough attraction to the customers.
