'Destiny 2' Is Finally Happening; Game Sequel To Have Two Travelers? Cayde-6 Figurine As Pre-Order Bonus?
Game developer Bungie has finally made it official that "Destiny 2" is really happening. This after spy shots of the game's poster made rounds online just recently that made its player base come up to an assumption that the game sequel is just around the corner.
"Destiny 2" was formally announced over on the game's official Twitter page where a huge digit "2" was laid across a burning backdrop alongside the "Destiny" logo. Such figure was also similar to the leaked images of the upcoming game's poster that even suggested that the sequel will be filling the shelves on September 8 not to mention that a public beta testing will also be rolled out on the PlayStation 4 console, according to Polygon. There are also leaked photos insinuating that an action figure of the Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 might be offered as a pre-order bonus.
Eagle-eyed fans, on the other hand, took notice of the burning city on "Destiny 2's" announcement tweet. Players have figured out that it was The Last City that was featured in the first game and at the same time saved by the massive hovering orb known as The Traveler. It is now believed that the next "Destiny" title will feature two Travelers and that the other one is responsible for the burned down metropolis.
Bungie remained tight-lipped about the details of "Destiny 2." However, it is expected to make an appearance at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. Moreover, the game maker also made it known early on that the characters from the first game will be ported into the new title. The bad news, though, all the hard earned buffs, items, and skills will be left behind, The Verge reported.
