The relationship between beloved characters in the new tvN drama "The Liar and His Lover" will start to become complicated as Han Kyul (Lee Hyun Woo) and So Rim (Red Velvet's Joy) embark on a new journey together. Latest spoiler news teased of the two characters growing romance as featured in recently released photo stills.

The first week broadcast of "The Liar and His Lover" introduced avid viewers to many characters in tvN's music-themed series. A small screen adaptation of the popular Japanese manga "Kanojo Wa Uso O Aishisugiteru," the South Korean drama's first two episodes showed So Rim's infatuation with the gifted composer Han Kyul. Despite her efforts to stay close to her first love, the musician rejected So Rim and broke her heart.

Latest photo stills released by tvN, as obtained by Korean news outlet Hub News, showed the two protagonists spending time together in what appears to be a playground with several musically inclined children.

Han Kyul and So Rim even had a sweet moment where they looked at each other's eyes while the children jammed on their musical instruments. A representative from "The Liar and His Lover" told reporters that viewers can expect to see the two characters' relationship grow from an uneasy friendship to romance, according to the same news site.

In other news, many netizens slammed Red Velvet's Joy's acting in "The Liar and His Lover." Some viewers described the Kpop idol's acting as awkward, while other critics claimed that the singer was not good enough to become a lead actress, All Kpop reported. Joy's co-star Lee Hyun Woo also received a few negative feedbacks given his acting in the tvN drama.
