'Ant-Man & The Wasp' Update: Michael Peña Confirms His Role In The Upcoming Movie Sequel
Lately this week, reports are spreading online that Michael Peña, the funny Luis in the Marvel "Ant-Man" movie might not be appearing in the upcoming sequel "Ant-Man and the Wasp." But this recent news, the actor said in the interview that he will be part of the movie.
During the red carpet of CHIPS, LRM asked Michael Peña about his role in the upcoming "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie and confirms that he will reprise his role as Luis, Scott Lang's fast-talking ex-cellmate and friend. "So, I'm doing Extinction next, that is a Universal movie. And then I'm doing "Ant-Man" Part 2." He said.
A few days ago, in the interview with the Collider, the actor Michael Peña was asked about the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie, saying, "No, no, I haven't gotten the phone call yet." He said. "I don't know if I'm going to get the phone call. Who knows?"
Many fans reacted and worry when the news that Michael Peña could not appear in the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie. Aside from Scott Lang, the actor behind Ant-Man, Peña gives the viewers fun through his funny performance in the film, making some fans would feel disappointed when they will not see him in the sequel.
Aside from the "Ant-Man and the Wasp," the actor Michael Peña will be cast in the upcoming projects; "The Lego Ninjago," "My Little: The Movie," "CHIPS" and the "Extinction." He is also known for his previous roles in "The Martian," and "End of Watch."
For now, the filmmaker hasn't announced enough update about the plot of the upcoming "Ant-Man" sequel, the "Ant-Man and the Wasp." Starring, once again, Paul Rudd as Scot Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Pym and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, the movie will hit the theater next year, July 6, 2018. The productions are set to begin this summer 2017.
