Kim Go Eun & Shin Ha Kyun Break Up After Eight Months
Celebrity couple Kim Go Eun and Shin Ha Kyun have broken up after eight months of dating. An official from their management agency HODU&U Entertainment confirmed the reports Wednesday and dated the former couple's breakup to be "around late February." They reportedly broke up because of their busy schedules.
"Goblin" star Kim Go Eun and "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" actor Shin Ha Kyun made their relationship public in August last year just as the actress joined the veteran actor in the same agency. They became more than labelmates and colleagues when they bonded through skin scuba diving, according to allkpop. Their now-ended relationship had evoked a May-December romance because of their 17-year age gap. Kim Go Eun was only 24 when she dated 42-year-old Shin Ha Kyun.
Shin Ha Kyun became a renowned actor through his portrayals of notable characters in the films "Joint Security Area," "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance," "Save the Green Planet!" "Welcome to Dongmakgol" and "The Front Line." He's also appeared in theater plays and the dramas "All About My Romance" and "Mr. Back." His now ex-girlfriend Kim Go Eun, meanwhile, tasted fame for the first time through her first film "A Muse" where she reaped the Best Actress Award in the various film fests and award events. She catapulted to fame again after appearing in the smash hit tvN series "Goblin."
Kim Go Eun talked about her then boyfriend Shin Ha Kyun during the press conference for "Goblin" in November last year where she revealed how the actor supported her new project. "He said that dramas were fights of stamina, so he told me to make sure I take care of my health," said Kim Go Eun, according to allkpop. She also talked about her on-screen "Goblin" partner Gong Yoo whom she's described as "like a prankster" and shared a similar personality with her. She said, "Even on set, we cheerfully engage in filming while joking around."
