Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Barry's (Grant Gustin) singing and dancing skills will be put to the test in the upcoming episode of "The Flash."

The hype is up for the Scarlet Speedster as the upcoming episode of CW's "The Flash" will feature Barry (Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) tangled in a very unlikely situation. Instead of battling out using the superhuman abilities, the duo will have to sing in dance it out to win the day.

The musical crossover to be dubbed as "Duet" will also feature "Glee" alumnus Darren Criss as he plays the musical madman Music Meister. It may well seem that the inbound episode of "The Flash" will be like a mini "Glee" get together as fans might recall that both Gustin and Benoist also appeared on the award-winning show prior to their superhero roles.

Come Monday, March 20, the plot of the story kicks off with "Supergirl" and the continuation of it will be then featured on "The Flash." The deal with the upcoming episode is that Kara's superhero persona was knocked out cold by the Music Meister. After failing in bringing back her consciousness, Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) sought Barry's team in doing such.

Unfortunately, the Music Meister proves to be quicker this time as he puts the speedster into sleep as well. Both Barry and Kara will then wake up to a different reality where the Meister is boss as the only way to get out from that predicament is to sing and dance it off, TVWeb has learned.

Other characters will also be brought inside the Broadway-themed dimension such as Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Joe West (Jesse L Martin), and Martin Stein (Victor Garber). The actors mentioned might have been intentionally handpicked since all of them have musical theater credentials.

Martin was a former member of "Rent's" original lineup while Garber was a Tony Award nominee for his performance in "Damn Yankees," "You Never Can Tell," and "Sweeney Todd." Moreover, Barrowman also took part in "Anything Goes'" West End revival, according to Digital Spy.

"The Flash's" "Duet" episode will air this Tuesday, March 21 on the CW. In the meantime, watch a video about the upcoming episode here:
