Samsung Gear S3 Beats LG Watch Sport In Installed Apps; Tag Heuer Upcoming Smartwatch Worries Competitors?
Samsung Gear S3 is among the popular smartwatches today. With the latest entry of LG through the Watch Sport, the two are now being compared in terms of software, hardware, and general user experience.
The Samsung Gear S3 has almost the same footprint as that of the LG Watch Sport with a measurement of 46 x 49 mm, making it appear more bulky and rugged. On the other hand, the LG Watch Sport is a big smartwatch with a size of 45.4 x 51.2 mm and comes with a better screen-to-front-face ratio in its 1.38-inch size, with a higher resolution of 480 x 480.
Samsung Gear S3, on the one hand, will have a 360 x 360 resolution and a 1.3-inch screen display. Although the two smartwatches offer automatic brightness, stainless-steel bodies, and a high pixel density, the huge difference lies on the platform and software. According to reports, Samsung Gear S3 uses the company's Tizen Wearable OS platform, while the LG Watch Sport uses Google's Android Wear 2.0 software.
With Samsung Gear S3, however, the smartwatch apps is required to be installed on the phone to automatically pair with the watch. Moreover, the two devices come with a GPS, Bluetooth and are both dust and water resistant, Android Police reported.
Samsung Gear S3, meanwhile, is about to have a new rival, and it is not from Apple. Based on reports, the Luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heuer is looking set to reveal the company's latest tech timepiece soon, as indicated by a Twitter post that seems to tease the fans of an upcoming launch.
According to reports, the tweet appears to suggest that more details may be revealed later, although there is little information known about the company's upcoming plans. Incidentally, this is not the first smartwatch from Tag that has been released, given its original Connected wearable that sold more than 56,000 units worldwide, Express reported.
