AMD is all geared up to bring back the good old days with its AMD's 32-core Zen-based Naples Server Chips that is cheaper than the Intel counterparts. Ryzen 7 Desktop chips

is reportedly a big threat to Intel.  The company is now aiming for the server market with its Naples server chips that Intel has dominated with its Xeon products.   AMD has already unveiled several Zen Naples SKUs that contains 16 cores up to 32 cores.  These chips are designed to be multi-threaded, so performance wise will be on par with even the most powerful chips from Intel.  Customers will also appreciate the company's offering since it will be priced lower, PC World reported.

Nathan Brookwood, a principal analyst at Insight 64, said in a statement that, "If we look at how they price their consumer products, it stands to reason that the versions of Naples will also undercut Intel's pricing."  The company is now trying to lure customers away from Intel and is expected to be made available during the second half of 2017.

AMD is already offering cheaper products in the gaming aspect of the computer industry.  The AMD Ryzen desktop chips are priced lower than Intel, which also dominates the field.  AMD is also trying to take a piece of the pie from NVIDIA, the top graphics card manufacturer, with their own gaming series video cards based on the Polaris microarchitecture.

Speaking of AMD Ryzen processors, the newly announced three Ryzen 7 chips, 1800X, 1700X and 1700 models, are now available in the market and directly competes with Intel Core i7 chips. The Ryzen 7 1800X is priced around $500 and is half the price of its counterpart, the Intel i7-6900K,  PC Advisor reports.

AMD also announced the mid-ranger Ryzen 5 chips - 1600X and 1500X that will go against the Intel Core i5. It is also speculated that entry-level Ryzen 3 chips will soon arrive in the second half of the year. Watch AMD Ryzen first look video:
