'One Piece' Anime Heading Towards A New Story Arc; Manga Rumored To Feature An Unholy Alliance
The anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's famed pirate collective - "One Piece" will be heading towards a new filler arc right after their exploits in the recently concluded "Zou Saga." Albeit taking a short breather from its main storyline, the continuation of its next arc promises to be a lengthy one once it sets sail this April.
The "One Piece" fandom is pretty much aware by now that the next major arc of the pirate-laden series will be Charlotte Linlin's (Big Mom) Whole Cake Island. The inbound Big Mom arc will go full throttle on April 9, though a yet to be announced filler storyline will be chipped in in the coming weeks, Comicbook has learned. Black Leg Sanji is also set to be making a comeback in Big Mom arc's anime adaptation and the fanbase who got the chance to read the manga already the chef's fate on the looming arc.
Big Mom's wonderland of sweets has been hinted on previous episodes of "One Piece," though it is not fully discussed due to the ongoing Zou arc during that time. Now that the series will be heading towards that direction, avid viewers are now musing the anime retelling of Sanji's fate in the hands of the only female Yonko among the Four Emperors of the sea.
Meanwhile, tensions are building up on One Piece's manga version as Sanji's seem to be inevitable shotgun wedding nears. In addition, the Straw Hat's plans in rescuing their flirtatious chef have grown to be more complex than ever as they discovered that Sanji's clan - the Vinsmokes, are slated to be wiped out by Big Mom's horde.
However, the notorious mafia-like sea thug known as Capone Bege - who also holds a grudge against Big Mom has entered the fray. Hence, many are coming up to an assumption that an unholy alliance between Luffy and Capone might be seen in "One Piece" chapter 858, according to Droid Report.
