‘Winds of Winter’ Release Date in 2016; George R.R. Martin Says 'I Want It Out Now!'

"Winds of Winter" will be released in 2016. Fans excitedly await George R.R. Martin's sixth installment for "A  Song of Ice and Fire."

George refused to speak about how is he doing with "Winds of Winter". This made people assumed that the novel is near to completion. As the exact release date is still unknown, let's trace back the updates we had for the past weeks.

Martin's very recent statement of opinion was about he was still busy finishing the sixth installment and he was unable to write the first script for "The Skin Trade," News Everyday.

Martin wrote on his online journal, "Not a Blog"; "And no, while I would have loved to write the script and run the show myself, that was never really in the cards," he said.

If the reports are said to be true regarding the Winds of Winter release date is on April 2016, this only means that Martin has few months in finishing his masterpiece. He also confirmed, News Everyday mentioned,  that it it indeed important to him if his book will be published first before the forth coming season of Game Thrones will start.

Last June in Entertainment Weekly, the author said that "I wish it was out now."

"Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done," he added, cited   by Entertainment Weekly.
