Apple Reveals First Major Details About iPhone 8? 'The Most Radical Change'
The public might know that Apple has been careful about sharing information regarding the company's high technology devices. However, tech media outlets have been working hard to squeeze the details little by little. Lately, leaks about the iPhone 8 hint that Apple makes "the most radical change" to the highly-anticipated smartphone of 2017.
Apparently, the sales of Apple phones has been skyrocketing since the release of the previous model- the savvy and sophisticated iPhone 7. Yet, the public might expect the firm's profit to gain more for launching its 10th-anniversary surprise, the iPhone 8 or maybe it will be the "iPhone X."
According to Forbes, the iPhone 8 could be the biggest smartphone to date, with wide screens that could almost occupy its front design. The mobile device might sport an all-OLED display in an enormous 5.8-inch size. The company might also opt out the remarkable home button by putting a "function area" at the bottom.
"Consumers have grown accustomed to the usability of the iPhone and its apps, and they regularly upgrade their iPhones even if there are no major improvements in functionality," said Yasuo Nakane, a senior analyst at Mizuho Securities about the changes that might appear on iPhone 8.
However, it could be the most expensive phone that Apple would release so far. The outlet highlighted a report from KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo that the iPhone 8 will cost in excess of $1,000. But Nikkei believes that the sales for the crown jewel device will still be high despite its costly price.
Apart from that, the new feature that iPhone 8 could have is also the wireless charging technology and a new type of connector. As per Economic Times, Apple might introduce the 'Ultra Accessory Connector' (UAC), which is an eight-pin connector that is slightly thinner than USB-C and near half as wide as both USB-C and Lightning.
Rumors have it that the iPhone 8 would be out on June 29 as a tribute to the release of the very first iPhone model ten years ago. Stay tuned for more details about the exciting device here at Korea Portal.
