Song Ji Hyo Stars In New Film ‘Wind Wind Wind’ As ‘Running Man’ Undergoes Timeslot Changes

Avid Song Ji Hyo fans will soon see the South Korean celebrity on the big screens in a romantic comedy film. Meanwhile, showrunners of the SBS variety program "Running Man" have decided to implement a change in the show's broadcast schedule.

Song Ji Hyo will be partnered with some of the talented and veteran actors in the South Korean entertainment industry in the upcoming movie tentatively titled "Wind Wind Wind." The "Running Man" cast member recently joined the said romantic-comedy film and will portray one of the lead stars in the said movie.

In an announcement released by the film's distributor, as obtained by Korea Herald, Next Entertainment World confirmed Song Ji Hyo's casting alongside "Mr. Baek" actor Shin Ha Kyun. Apart from the two celebrities, "Misaeng" actor Lee Sung Min also joined "Wind Wind Wind," as well as "Goblin" actress Lee El.

"Wind Wind Wind" will tackle the lives of four characters as they encounter love, happiness and heartbreak in Jeju Island. Song Ji Hyo will to portray the wife of the aspiring chef Bong Soon (Shin Ka Hyun). Lee Sung Min will play the actress' character's older brother Seok Geun, who is a known Casanova but will find love in Jenny (Lee El).

The "Running Man" star's upcoming movie will be directed by "Twenty" filmmaker Lee Byung Hun. Filming activities are slated to begin on March 13.

In other news, the long-running SBS variety show "Running Man" will soon be aired in an earlier timeslot. A source from the production told local reporters that showrunners have decided to adjust the program's Sunday broadcast schedule from 6:25 p.m. KST to 4:50 pm KST, OSEN quoted the source as saying.

Viewers will see "Running Man" episodes aired at its new timeslot beginning April. Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo's upcoming new film "Wind Wind Wind" will be released in 2018.
