iPhone 8 Might Have A USB-C Instead Of Lightning Port, Here's Why
Apple is planning for the big launch of its next generation of iPhone which can be called as iPhone 8 or iPhone X. The latest speculations are creating a lot of buzzes as the company is planning to ditch the traditional lightning port for a USB-C port. There are many reasons for the company to use a USB-C port instead of lightening port.
As reported in The Wall Street Journal, the company would introduce many updates including a USB-C port for the power cord to iPhone 8. The Journal stated that "Apple would introduce other updates including a USB-C port for the power cord and other peripheral devices instead of the company's original Lightning connector."
Switching the traditional lightning port with USB-C port is a quite challenging task for the company itself. The company has already built the industry around its lightening port, and switching means changing the manufacturing process and start with a new one. Although the company is avoiding the port, but an USB-C connectivity is the best move for the users to easily connect their MacBook with their iPhone 8.
The Verge even remarks that it seems high unlike that the company is switching the lightening port and starting the process from the scrap. Indeed, the upcoming iPhone 8 will have the front facing 3D laser scanner, but it does not mean that the company is ditching the fingerprint sensor. Reports are coming from the US Patent and Trademark office that the company issued a patent for the advanced phone display.
According to this patent, Apple's device can read fingerprint directly from the screen. So, instead of relying on a particular fingerprint reading spot, the smartphone can easily recognize the user's fingers just by touching anywhere on the screen. iPhone 8 will mark the innovation of the history. Wireless charging, all frame glass design, curved OLED screens are additional technologies the phone will offer to the smartphone consumers. With all these latest technologies, it is clear that the Apple lovers have to wait for the exact iPhone 8 release date.
