Avid "Overwatch" players have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the game's newest playable hero. Recently, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the new character Orisa who is now available on the game's Public Test Real (PTR).

Speculations have been rife that Blizzard's new hero for "Overwatch" could be Doomfist or something related to the young tech genius Efi Oladele. However, game developers surprised avid gamers when they unveiled Orisa in the game's PTR. Revealed through the latest PTR game patch, the said four-legged robot was created by Efi from various parts of Numbani's decommissioned OR15 defense robots.

Described as a robot tank, Orisa's large body can serve as a perfect shield for her teammates, Destructoid reported. The new "Overwatch" hero has a health and armor level of 250 points each, as well as various defense and attack moves.

Blizzard developers designed Orisa's main weapon dubbed the "Fusion Driver" to release rapid-fire streams of projectiles similar to a high-powered machine gun. With a capacity to hold 200 rounds, the said weapon has good accuracy and range but can slow down the new "Overwatch" hero's movements.

Moreover, Orisa can launch a graviton charge that can be detonated. Dubbed "Halt," movements of nearby enemies will become sluggish and the said gravity pulse can pull in opponents when exploded.

The new "Overwatch" hero also two defense moves namely "Fortify" and the "Protective Barrier." With "Fortify," Orisa can temporarily reduce any damage that she can take from attacks including immunity to sleep darts, stuns, rocket blasts and more.

Meanwhile, Orisa's "Protective Barrier" is a curved barrier that boasts of a 900 HP level and can be thrown at a fair distance to shield the "Overwatch" hero and her allies for a short time. However, it does not provide adequate aerial cover and cannot block Rein or Symmetra's fire attacks.

Lastly, Blizzard's new playable "Overwatch" character has a "Supercharger" ability that can give her nearby allies a damage boost. When activated, Orisa will remove the drum-like apparatus from her back and place it on the ground where boost coverage is around 25 to 30 meters away. The damage boost lasts for around 10 seconds unless the enemy immediately destroys the said apparatus.

In other news, Blizzard's "Overwatch" patch also contained bug fixes, as well as a few hero fixes. Posted on the game's official website, some of the changes include adjustments to Bastion's ability where the said character can now withstand 20 percent less damage.

Orisa is the 24th playable character unveiled by Blizzard and is available on "Overwatch's" PTR. The said hero and other PTR updates, as well as bug fixes, were deployed on March 2, Thursday.
