'Minecraft: Pocket Edition' Windows 10 Mobile: Finally Players Experience Realm Achievements, Texture Packs, Add-Ons; 1.12 Update Revealed
"Minecraft: Pocket Edition" is finally coming to Windows 10 Mobile. While the game is previously available on Windows Phone 8, Mojang discontinued support for the older Microsoft mobile OS in October 2016. Now, the players who have upgraded can catch up on important updates they have missed out, including support and Achievements for Realms, texture packs and add-ons.
With "Minecraft's" arrival in Windows 10 Mobile, reports claim that it may just be a formality, considering that the popular brick building game is currently selling more than 100 million copies. Moreover, the handheld Pocket Edition as well as the console ports is also confirmed to outsell the PC original at almost 2 to 1.
Meantime, "Minecraft" players are reportedly amused by the fact that Microsoft's own product is one of the latest systems to get in just now on one of the biggest-selling brands, given that it owns the game after acquiring Mojang in 2014 for $2.5 billion. Fortunately for the owners of the older version because those who bought the game for Windows Phone 8 can now download the Windows 10 Mobile version with no additional charge, Tech Radar reported.
"Minecraft" 1.12, meanwhile, has started development, with snapshot 17w06a being made available to the public and carefully analyzed for new pieces and blocks. Some of the blocks added include concrete powder, glazed terracotta, concrete, creates patterns by being put in specific ways and created by smelting color clay among others.
In addition to the "Minecraft" update are the new textures for Wool and Banner blocks, while different bug fixes and quality of life changes have been applied. Furthermore, the change made with Wool has also effected the Sheep, PC Games reported. Watch "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" here:
