Coachella 2017 Ticket Re-Sells On The Rise After Beyonce Pulls Out From Music Festival
Many fans were disappointed when Coachella 2017 organizers announced that Beyonce will no longer perform in the upcoming music festival. Given the cancellation of Queen Bey's highly-awaited performance, the situation resulted to an influx of ticket re-selling activities for the event.
When Coachella 2017 organizers announced their line-up of performers that included Beyonce, many of the "Formation" singer's fans bought tickets to the music event. However, a recent announcement posted on Coachella's Facebook page revealed that the Destiny's Child alum will not be able to join the said event.
It appears that Queen Bey received orders from her doctors to avoid strenuous activities in the coming months. Beyonce is currently pregnant with twins and has decided to pull out from the upcoming Coachella 2017 music festival.
Despite Beyonce's absence in the upcoming event, organizers announced that the singer will be joining Coachella 2018. Confirming the "Crazy in Love" crooner's participation, Queen Bey will even headline next year's music festival.
Meanwhile, the multi-awarded musician's absence from the event may be due to her pregnancy but it created an unfortunate ripple effect among fans. Shortly after Coachella 2017 organizers announced the cancellation of Beyonce's performance, fans who already bought tickets started to re-sell their passes online.
Twitter comments compiled by Entertainment Weekly highlighted some of the ticket holder's disappointment, as well as ticket re-sale offers for anyone who would like to go to Coachella 2017. Citing Beyonce's absence as the reason for the re-sale, some fans even shared how they had to pay extra just to see the singer on stage.
In other news, an online poll on Billboard asked fans to identify the singer that they would like to see as Beyonce's replacement in the upcoming Coachella 2017. Many netizens voted for Lady Gaga, while Rihanna trailed close behind the "Born this Way" singer.
Coachella 2017 is a two-weekend event scheduled on April 14 to April 16 and April 21 to April 23. Other celebrities slated to perform during the music festival includes Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and many more.
