Hwarang Stars Bid Emotional Goodbye to Fans
Hwarang fans bid emotional goodbyes to fans via social media as they wrapped up the television series. Though the audience might still want to see more of them, the inevitable ending took place on February 21.
The cast of the South Korean drama namely Hyungsik, Park Seo Joon, Jo Yoon Woo, and Do Ji Haan shared a photo with heartwarming messages of "Thank You's" and "I Love You's" to their fans on Instagram. The snapshot may also depict the bond that the actors developed throughout the show.
But most of all, Do Ji Haan may have had the most impactful message about the ending of Hwarang and how he would cherish the moments will the cast and crew. He also thanked his fellow co-stars via his message.
"Thank you for your love. I was very happy to meet our oldest hyung Seo Joon, Hyungsik, Minho, Yoon Woo, Taehyung, and the other hyung/dongsaengs. I love you guys very very much," quotes All K-Pop. On the other hand, actress Go Ara talks about the series and its viewers' ratings. She played the role oh Ah Ro, who is in layman's terms, the rose among the thorns.
According to Soompi, the rating of Hwarang declined as they reached its finale. The reason behind may be its competition with other Korean dramas such as Defendant and Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People. The young actress said that she is not really dwelling in the ratings to determine if the show is successful or not.
"I participated in this drama because I wished to have fun while filming a historical drama and wanted to capture the passion of young people, so I hope that ['Hwarang'] won't only be talked about in terms of numbers," the actress explained further.
Go Ara also talked about the difficulties of filming the series because of its needs to become historically accurate. But all in all, she realized afterward that the portrayal is necessary.
