Actress Song Ji Hyo confessed she doesn't like being treated or called an 'actress.'

The 35-year-old "Running Man" star preferred to keep it real even in front of the camera and considered being called an "actress" as "embarrassing."

Song Ji Hyo talked about her onscreen image as a boyish actress on her beauty program "Song Ji Hyo's Beauty View" where she also cringed at the thought of acting like a typical actress.

"If I act like an actress and if people treat me like one, I feel like my hands and feet are going to disappear from embarrassment," allkpop quoted her as saying on the latest episode. "I'm still burdened by the title of 'actor'. I want to become an actor who acts sincerely and enjoys her job. I don't want to become an 'actress'."

Aside from being seen as a boyish actress, fans also dubbed Song Ji Hyo as the "Ace" on "Running Man" because she's often able to outwin the rest of the male cast. Her fellow cast members, on the other hand, nicknamed her as "Blank Ji Hyo" and "Bad Ji Hyo" because she frequently spaces out and occasionally goes on a rage against the male members.

The competitive and only female member of the physical variety show easily embraced the nicknames she's been given and admitted them as part of her personality.

"I become very competitive regardless of the genre no matter whether it is acting as an actress, hosting as the MC, or appearing on a variety program. If I had ever wanted to look beautiful, I should not have appeared on 'Running Man' from the beginning," HanCinema quoted Song Ji Hyo as saying in an interview five years ago.

She now hosts her first beauty program "Song Ji Hyo's Beauty View" with 5urprise's Gong Myung.

She said about the beauty program, "I thought even people like me, who don't have interest or talent at make up, would have fun watching this program."
