Actor Yoo Ah In confirmed he's diagnosed with a bone tumor while insisting that he's not using his health issue to evade military enlistment.

The "Sungkyungkwan Scandal" star has been diagnosed with bone tumor, but some netizens suspect that the actor's only trying to get himself exempt from his mandatory military service.

According to Soompi, a source from Yoo Ah In's management agency confirmed reports that the actor is suffering bone tumor.

"It is true that he has a bone tumor," stated the source from the actor's agency. "We can't say if it's serious or not. It's a sensitive matter regarding his personal information so we cannot say much about the level of seriousness."

The 30-year-old star incurred a shoulder injury while filming the 2015 movie "Veteran" and was asked to undergo a third medical examination in December last year. His first physical evaluation took place December 2015 while the second one was in May 2016.

The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) stated that they're now monitoring the actor's condition as they placed his military enlistment on hold.

Yoo Ah In's label assured fans that the bone tumor is benign so some netizens accused him of trying to get exempt from the enlistment.

The actor addressed the rumor in a long letter where he claimed he's fully aware of how actors are usually accused of using their poor health condition to evade being enlisted.

"My injury and the health condition that is currently creating controversies are my misfortune. It is not a tool for me to avoid military enlistment," allkpop quoted Yoo Ah In as saying.

"The fact that I have to ask for forgiveness to others for my misfortune struggles me but as an actor who grows with the public's love and attention, I decided to accept it as my responsibility," he said and added, "As a person with the power to influence society, I will do my best to complete the duty.
