The Cleveland Cavaliers is now holding a tryout for the point guard position that they are looking for. The Cavaliers will be choosing between the four candidates, namely Mario Chalmers, Jordan Farmar, Kirk Hinrich and the unexpected Lance Stephenson.

Last month, LeBron James has spoken to the Cavaliers front office to address the issue since the team's performance obviously regressed as they lost several games this year. James applauded the team's effort, but he said that they really need a man to back up Kyrie Irving.

According to the report held by the Bleacher Report, the Cavaliers management responded to the demand that LeBron James wants is now holding off a tryout. Four of the best options to backup Kyrie Irving were called for a tryout and the Cavs will decide who to keep in the next couple of days.

Mario Chalmers is the front runner for the position that even his ex-teammate James Jones is rooting for him. Chalmers can easily tune his chemistry since the team is led by his former teammate LeBron James.

Jordan Farmar and Kirk Hinrich are also a good fit. Both players are shooting well outside the 3-point line and are both reliable playmakers.

Lastly is Lance Stephenson, the player who was known to have a soft rivalry with LeBron James. Obviously, Lance Stephenson is a great candidate for the position due to his skills and capabilities.

As per the cleveland.com, Stephenson is the best man to fill the final spot for the Cavaliers. With Stephenson's ball handling, he can definitely play the point guard and with his height and defensive competitiveness, Stephenson proves that he is a two-way combo guard.

James was asked about Stephenson trying out for the team, he said that has no problems playing with nobody. With this statement, James shows how professional he is and how willing he was to add depth to make a better roster for their team.
