"Goblin," also known as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," was hailed for its popularity, double-digit TV ratings and hit soundtrack. With a star-studded cast that included Gong, Lee Dong Wook, Yook Sung Jae, Yoo In Na and Kim Go Eun, many viewers witnessed the amazing on-screen chemistry between the tvN drama's lead stars.
The fantasy drama also created a fashion trend given Gong's various outfits in "Goblin." With a fashion ensemble that consisted of oversized jackets and designer pieces, several of the said outfits became fast-selling items in South Korea.
Recently, the "Train to Busan" actor revealed that he wore more than 182 fashion pieces for the said tvN drama, Korea Herald reported. Over the span of the series' nearly two-month broadcast, Gong donned around 11 fashionable outfits per episode.
However, the said outfit count does not include the warrior outfit and traditional costumes that Gong wore during the drama. Several flashback scenes in the fantasy series featured the actor as the Goryeo dynasty general Shin who was turned into an immortal goblin after he was sentenced to death by the King.
Meanwhile, tvN recently released behind-the-scenes footage that showed various clips of the cast members' funny antics on-set, as well as interview sessions. Aired on Feb. 3, Friday, the said episode also included a commentary segment where Lee and Yoo shared their thoughts about some of the drama's interesting scenes such as co-star Jo Woo Jin's dance moves.
Having portrayed secretary Kim in the tvN drama, the actor showcased his dancing prowess as he copied iconic moves from Kpop groups such as EXO and TWICE. Netizens found Jo's "TT" dance adorable, while other fans commented on Lee and Yoo's on-screen chemistry, All Kpop reported.
The second part of the "Goblin" special will be released on Feb. 4, Saturday, on tvN.
