Adele’s New Song A Sequel To ‘Someone Like You’? Singer Apologizes To Fans For Album Delay
With Adele's new song just previewed days ago on TV, the Grammy Award-winning singer finally spoke about her upcoming album, according to a report from Billboard.
During a commercial break from X Factor, Adele's new song was aired this week. The TV ad simply contained lyrics shown on the black screen with some lines being sung in the background, played with a slow piano track. This will be Adele's new song since she released the epic 007 theme "Skyfall" in 2012.
Could it be that Adele's new song is related to her earlier songs? An insider reveals that she wrote a sequel song to her hit "Someone Like You" which addresses a breakup. This is actually what everyone waited for so long but no one also thought that she will do it either, according to Belfast Telegraph.
And now that Adele's new song has been checked out by everyone who missed her presence in the music scene, the 27-year-old singer finally talks on her upcoming album, posting a lengthy yet heartfelt letter to her fans in her Twitter account.
Similar to her previous albums, her next one will be titled "25" which was speculated previously by both fans and music journalists. There is no release date indicated, however she did confirm that her next record will be a "make-up" record compared to her previous "break-up record."
This could mean that her next album has a central theme of making up for lost time, mistakes, and everything the singer haven't done in her life. Towards the end of her letter, Adele says, "25 is about getting to know who you've become without realizing. And I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."
Adele has been on hiatus from the music scene since 2012, taking rest so she could take care of her son with her partner Simon Konecki. With her new material intentionally leaking out in the market, it seems that her hiatus will definitely end soon.
