Korean singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong's DNA matches ex-girlfriend's three-month-old son.

Controversial singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong wrote a handwritten letter to fans ahead of his military discharge as his ex-girlfriend faces indictment.

Kim Hyun Joong, now 30, sent his fans a heartfelt message as he prepares to return to the limelight after things turned into his favor surrounding his ongoing legal battle against his ex-girlfriend, known only as Miss Choi.

The SS501 leader and main rapper took to his official homepage to share his letter that said:

"It's been a long time. How are you? I had been contemplating on what to say the last few days. Enduring much pain and hardship, I have come to realize that I am such a weak person."

Kim Hyun Joong thanked his family, friends and everyone who believed in him. He also expressed his intention to talk to his fans in person as he asked them about their well-being.

His management label KeyEast announced that the singer will be discharged from the military on February 2. They asked fans for their welcoming support as Kim Hyun Joong plans to make a career comeback.

Some netizens, however, did not welcome the letter in a positive light.

"It's amazing how he still has fans," allkpop quoted one netizen as saying.

Another said, "Everything else aside, the real question is did he hit her? Or not? If so, do your parents hit you like that? A man hitting a woman is not love."

And another, "Just keep your mouth shut and never set foot again in the entertainment industry."

Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend faces charges of fraud and defamation after the prosecutor's findings that revealed she has never been pregnant at all.

The saga between the embittered former couple started when Miss Choi charged the singer of physical assault in 2014 after two years of dating. They rekindled their romance sometime after the charges and announced Miss Choi's pregnancy in 2015. They separated yet again and have since dragged their legal battle for years.
