Suzy’s Photographer And JYP Entertainment To Take Legal Steps On Lolita Controversy

Singer-actress Suzy's photographer and management label JYP Entertainment announced they will be taking legal actions surrounding the Lolita controversy that followed her 2015 photobook.

Photographer Oh Sun Hye continued to lambast her critics on social media as she followed up her furious words with action by filing a lawsuit Monday.

"The photo which caused an uproar may seem uncomfortable to view for some, however that is just personal opinion," allkpop quoted Oh Sun Hye as saying.

She added, "It is unacceptable to bash the photo and claim it as being of lolita complex, thus demanding an apology."  

The photographer released the singer's photobook "Suzy? Suzy" in October 2015 when Suzy was only 19.

Some netizens reacted negatively to the photo book and criticized the photographer for the Lolita concept as well as child prostitution.

The singer's label JYP Entertainment also stepped in to denounce the claims.

"Such comments are irrelevant to both Suzy and the photographer," stated the company.

They also expressed their intention to file a lawsuit just as the photographer did.

"We will take necessary legal actions concerning netizens' hateful remarks as well as copyright and portrait rights," they said.

The 22-year-old JYP artist, meanwhile, is concentrating on her debut solo album "Yes? No?"

She appeared Monday night on a V Live broadcast as she counted down the official release of her mini album.

Suzy talked about some of the memorable moments while shooting the music video for her title track "Yes, No, Maybe" which was entirely shot in Hong Kong.

"It unexpectedly started to rain, so it was really cold and difficult, but that seemed to make the video look even better, so I'm proud of how it turned out," Soompi quoted the Miss A member as saying.

She picked the laundromat scene as her most memorable because they filmed it while people were actually doing their laundry at the other side of the room.
