Niantic has promised a lot of good stuff coming for all "Pokemon Go" players this year. As a matter of fact, the company has finally released the first update of the popular virtual-reality game in 2017.

Phone Arena reported that the newest "Pokemon Go" update has been rolled out on Wednesday. However, the said update did not bring so much exciting stuff this time as it only addressed some glitches.

Among the bugs that were fixed is the distance tracking to better account for GPS drift. Aside from the minor text fixes, the latest "Pokemon Go" update also updates the Apple Watch version of the game to feature Eggs offered by the Pokestops.

While the update did not bring what fans have been expecting, "Pokemon Go" players should not worry because a lot of exciting features are about to arrive in the coming months. According to reports, the Legendary birds are arriving in the later months of 2017.

In a report by Poor Primadonna, it claimed that Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos are likely to be released in March 2017. However, the news outlet underscored these legendary birds might not come all together.

"First - there's almost zero chance the three Legendary Bird Pokemon will be released this year," SlashGear stated about the Legendary birds of "Pokemon Go." "It was considered once or twice, but moving forward with Baby Pokemon and the release of Gen 2 Pokemon took precedence."

Aside from the arrival of Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos, Niantic is also expected to release a new and improved tracking system for a better "Pokemon Go" gameplay. Pokemon Trading and Player-vs-Player battle features are also forecasted to arrive before the year ends.

Another upcoming new feature of the "Pokemon Go" game is the so-called Forms, as per Spoiler Scoop. The media outfit revealed that the imminent game feature will allow Pokemon to transform into several different forms, which is expected to become a game-changer.

It added that Niantic could possibly be adding more Pokémon soon after it added 38 news moves in the game. It remains to be seen what these latest "Pokemon Go" updates are for but fans can expect that better days are coming for them.
